Khalid Bennani and Arabic Jazz

AUI organises social events everyday after 9 pm. and announces the activities on its website. That's how I learnt about Chaabi Night and Khalid Bennani. I went to the concert with Julia, who had been suffering from severe stomach ache and seemed to not having fun from the show as she was supposed to. Some student I met before the concert said that Bennani is the second best musician of Morocco. I was also informed that he is known as the wedding musician. After listening this fancy Arabic music, I regret not to have asked the number one Arabic musician in Morocco. It was good, and I enjoyed myself. It was a fusion of Arabesque and Jazz in general, heavy and repetitive rhythms and of course the cıs-tak notes produced by a keyboard. Absolutely much better than Turkish arabesque what I used to name it minibus music back in Turkey.. Here is a photo of the beautiful ceiling of the central auditorium. Tens of students dancing in the aisles of auditorium didn't help me photograph the floors.
